Along with the dull cinematography and claustrophobic blocking in the frames, people incessantly talking over each other got quite irritating and the movie was probably more entertaining as a straight-up basketball movie. Howard is definitely a protagonist difficult to identify with given all his restless and reckless qualities, but the way his situation turned progressively worse was entertaining in a Schadenfreude way. After all, it just isn’t fair for such a twat to have somebody like Julia Fox (who resembles Scarlett from time to time) by your side and so blindly in love with you!
