ラースローの処女作にして10分間の短編。『サウルの息子』同様、準主観である女性事務員を撮ったもの。T.S. エリオットの『荒地』の「死者の埋葬」からの引用で始まる。 “I could not/ Speak, and my eyes failed, I was neither/ Living nor dead, and I knew nothing,/ Looking into the heart of light, the silence./ Od’ und leer das Meer.”
